Dr. Michael Moon is a second generation dentist who grew up in Peoria. He graduated from Creighton University with a degree in economics in 1990. Dr. Moon went on to the University of Illinois at Chicago for his dental degree, graduating in 1994. He returned home in 1995, working for the Peoria County Heath Department treating children, transitioning into private practice, and coming to Washington in 2002.
Dr. Moon has been married to his wife Harriet since 2000, and is the proud father to Molly, born in 2002. They have 2 dogs, Sully and Beatrice. In his spare time, Dr. Moon enjoys cooking, hunting and medicore golf.
Dr. Moon is the past president of the Peoria District Dental Society, and is a member in the American Dental Association and the Illinois State Dental Association.

Linda
Office Manager
I enjoy assisting our patients to get the best treatment possible. I have been the office manager with
this practice since 1989, and I have been in dentistry for over 47 years, starting as a dental assistant in Peoria in 1977. I am fortunate to have co-workers who are dedicated to the profession of dentistry. Washington is my hometown, and I raised my family here.
I have served in many capacities in the dental field, including teaching Dental Assisting at ICC, OSF Dental General Residency Program, Dental Assisting Co-Lead for Illinois Mission of Mercy since 2010, ISDS Illinois Mission of Mercy Coordinator 2023-present, previous Executive Director for Peoria District Dental Society, and now I currently serve as the Executive Director for McLean County Dental Society and recently elected as a new board member for the Illinois State Dental Society Foundation.
Dentistry is a large part of my life, but I still find time to be active with my church, spend time with my three sons, my daughter- in- laws and my granddaughter, travel, ride my bicycle, and am an avid runner (three marathons, thirty half marathons, several relay races, the area’s toughest 15K Steamboat race, along with many 5K and 10Ks.) I love it when patients stop in my office to visit and catch up!

Dental Hygienist
As a Dental Hygienist who graduated from ICC in 2017, I have had the privilege of meeting and caring for countless patients over the years. Providing for patients is a true passion and I am beyond proud to be part of our incredible team here at Moon Family Dental.
I married my husband Kevin in 2020 and we have a dog, cat and two tortoises. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, being outside and tending to houseplants. I am so happy to be at this office and able to care for each patient who walks through our door.

Dental Hygienist
After graduating from Illinois State University in 2012 with degrees in Human Resource Management and Business Administration and then working for several years, I decided to pivot my career path and I’ve never looked back! In 2017, I graduated from Illinois Central College as a Registered Dental Hygienist and found my true passion in helping people achieve and maintain healthy smiles. I am incredibly grateful to be part of the amazing team at Moon Family Dental, where we are dedicated to providing the best care for our patients!
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my husband, friends/family, and our cats. I am also a big fan of the great outdoors. Whether it's going for a hike or walk, mowing the lawn, or just looking at the sky somewhere, I find being in nature the perfect place to be.

Schedule Coordinator
I graduated from Illinois Central College Dental Hygiene Program in 2003. After 21 years of practicing dental hygiene, I am currently learning a new role of being the office schedule coordinator. I am married to my husband Troy, and we have 2 kids, Clayton and Kaylee.
I enjoy spending time with my family, watching my kids sporting events, doing craft projects and baking. I am blessed to be part of this amazing team and helping our wonderful patients.

I have worked in the dental field for about 12 years. I have worked in orthodontics, oral surgery, and general dentistry. I love working in general dentistry because I love meeting new people and getting to build a connection with them. I started working at Moon Family Dental in 2022 and couldn't be happier.
I love working for a doctor who cares so much about his patients, as well as his employees. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé, Coy, our four daughters, and our dog. We enjoy fishing and going on nature hikes. I look forward to meeting and continuing to get to know all of Dr. Moon's patients.

I graduated MTI as a certified dental assistant in 2012. I am married to my husband, Brian who is a
Peoria firefighter and I have two kids and two step kids, Braden, Belle, Camden, and Avery. I am a
southern girl originally from North Carolina, but I’ve been in Illinois for over 20 years and have really
grown to love the people here.
I am blessed to be a part of the Moon family here in Washington. My
favorite thing about my job is meeting new people and taking care of our patients and making them feel comfortable. When I’m not at work, I love cooking, spending time with my family and friends, playing with our puppy dog Cash and doing CrossFit. I’m excited to get to know each of y’all.

She balances her professional life with a love for the outdoors, real estate , music, reading, fitness, and travel. She is passionate about personal growth, and continuously evolving. She enjoys meeting new people and being active in her community while maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Dental Hygienist
I am a dedicated dental hygienist with a passion for providing compassionate dental care. I am a recent graduate from the Illinois Central College Dental Hygiene Program in May of 2024. I’ve worked in dental for 16 years from dental assisting to the business team.
I grew up in Washington and I’m glad to be working in my hometown. I have 2 children who I enjoy spending time with. Outside of dental I keep busy volunteering for my children’s activities, enjoy working out, and spending time with friends and family.

"I would like thank my staff for the time and effort they spent by surprising me with a celebration of my 15 year anniversary at Moon Family Dental. My office manager, Linda, arranged to have the Washington Chamber of Commerce come out to help us commemorate the occasion. I would like to thank the rest of the staff, Amanda, Jessica, Jill, Karen, and Sara for making a wonderful lunch for us today. These first class staff members are the key to our success.
